The project approved $1.5 million by the Board of Trustees in July 2009 involves design, replacement of connecting exterior joints on the precast panels, repair of damaged structural precast panels and painting as needed for appearance for East Campus Residence Complex. The Board of Trustees approval of a $1.35 million increase for the project budget on February 19, 2010, bringing the total to $2.85 million.
The renovation work includes repair of deteriorated precast panels and resealing of the precast joints at East Campus Residence Complex. The apparent low bidder is United Restoration. Work at Hewett was completed. The contractor commenced work at Manchester on May 18, 2011. The renovation work has been completed with the exception of the north facade and the lower part of the south facade. The remaining work will continue in summer of 2012. A meeting was held on February 23, 2012 to discuss the coordination work for the exterior repair and roofing work. The roofing work began in mid-May, 2012. Work at the east and west end of the north façade were complete. Contractors continue the punch list items.
