College of Engineering Complex

Illinois State University is transforming a property at 1709 General Electric Road in Bloomington into the future home of the College of Engineering. The full property (including 1711 General Electric Road) consists of 28.32 acres of land, including 392,000 square feet of usable space and more than 1,300 parking spaces, and will serve engineering students beginning in fall 2026. Phase 1 of construction will renovate 1709 General Electric Road to accommodate 600 new engineering students, with further renovations at the same property planned for the second phase to allow it to accommodate more than 1,000 students. As the design unfolds, additional information will be made available.
